GOED is a proactive and accountable association of the finest processors, refiners, manufacturers, distributors, marketers, retailers and supporters of products containing Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) – Omega-3 Long Chain Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (LCPUFAs).
The Organization's objectives are to educate consumers about the health benefits of EPA/DHA and work with government groups, the healthcare community and the industry, while setting high standards for our business sector. We are committed to personal integrity, ethical corporate behavior, public safety and quality assurance.
Mission
Our mission is to support GOED members who are committed to responsibly developing, sustaining and expanding markets for EPA & DHA Omega 3 LCPUFAs, while promoting health benefits, supporting public education and safety, establishing ethical business and product quality standards, and advancing government, healthcare and industry relations.
GOED Committees that encourage active member involvement, allow members to address critical issues of EPA/DHA product manufacturing and marketing, and enact guidelines that advance responsible trade.
Committees shall include but not be limited to:
- Executive Committee
- Dietary Supplement Committee (NA, EU & Asia sub-committees)
- Food Ingredient Committee (NA, EU & Asia sub-committees)
- EPA/DHA Manufacturers & Refiners Committee

Code of Ethics & Business Practices
The Code of Ethics & Business Practices reflects the ethics of GOED. All GOED members shall uphold a commitment to the values of personal integrity and ethical corporate behavior, ensuring that customer safety is paramount.
Only an active and supportive membership – with a commitment to responsible action and business practices – can give honest meaning to the words contained herein and make this document the foundation for a vital and growing EPA & DHA Omega 3 industry.
